Enjoy Toma Tomate: A Bold Fusion of Gazpacho and Bloody Mary at Telefèric Barcelona Brentwood

Experience Spain’s ‘La Tomatina Battle’ in Every Sip of This Exquisite Cocktail

By Dolores Quintana

Telefèric Barcelona Brentwood has invited you to embark on a taste adventure like no other as they unveil their latest creation: Toma Tomate. Inspired by Spain’s legendary ‘La Tomatina Battle,’ they’ve masterfully blended two tomato-infused classics—the iconic Bloody Mary and Spain’s renowned chilled soup, Gazpacho—into a single extraordinary cocktail. This very special cocktail will only be available until September 3 and is made of clarified gazpacho, spicy vodka, Fino sherry, celery bitters, verjus, a spicy rim, and half-cherry tomato. If you are tired of overly sweet cocktails, this savory cocktail might be just the thing for you. The restaurant is located at 11930 San Vicente Boulevard.

Some of the suggestions from the Spanish tapas restaurant for your meal this weekend that is being served this weekend and goes best with the Toma Tomate cocktail are Iberian burgers over onigiri socarrat, salmon, cauliflower cream & Ibérico ham, paella mixta made with pork, chicken, gulf shrimp, and octopus. For dessert? Rice pudding with crema Catalana foam & jelly

Their post about the drink says, “Toma Tomate is your passport to reliving the exhilaration of ‘La Tomatina Battle’ with each flavorful sip. Whether you’re a daring thrill-seeker or a culinary enthusiast, this cocktail promises an unforgettable journey through the essence of Spanish tradition and culinary innovation.” We’re intrigued because this drink sounds like it’s something special. It’s a really good idea to keep an eye on their Instagram if these dishes and cocktails sound tempting because they regularly announce specials for the weekends and have an excellent and inventive cocktail program.

The story of Telefèric Barcelona on their website states, “Spain’s rich culinary traditions and modern flair come to life at Teleferic Barcelona, a restaurant imagined and brought to life by siblings Padrosa and their team. From its inception in Barcelona in 1992 to its evolution as a top dining destination, Telefèric Barcelona celebrates the diversity and innovation of Spanish cuisine in a festive and casual atmosphere. Honoring its roots while embracing the local community, Teleferic Barcelona invites guests to experience and share in the vibrant culture of Spain.
