Events At The Brentwood Country Mart For This Week Include Camp Poppy

A Book Signing At Diesel, A Bookstore With Author Scott C. Johnson

Poppy Store invites children and families to join the excitement of Camp Poppy, a series of engaging camp activities held every Wednesday. From 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, Poppy Store will host special weekly activities for children to enjoy, along with refreshing lemonade and snacks. Open to all, Camp Poppy promises a delightful experience for children of all ages. No RSVP is necessary, and Poppy Store will provide all activity supplies. The camp will run from July 12 through August 9, 2023, offering a range of exciting and creative activities for the #poppylittles to explore.

In addition to Camp Poppy, you can join acclaimed author Scott C. Johnson at Diesel, A Bookstore, for a book signing and discussion of his latest work, “The Con Queen of Hollywood: The Hunt for an Evil Genius.” Taking place on Wednesday, July 12, at 6:30 PM, this event offers a unique opportunity to delve into the captivating world of investigative journalism.

In “The Con Queen of Hollywood,” Johnson’s unprecedented access to sources, including exclusive interviews with victims and never-before-heard recordings, sheds light on a notorious scam that captivated global attention. His relentless pursuit of the truth takes him from Los Angeles to the United Kingdom and Jakarta, unraveling the enigmatic identity of the Con Queen.
