Kevin CzingerCoda Electric Car Boss Rides His Bike From Brentwood to Santa Monica Daily

Kevin Czinger of Brentwood, the President and CEO of Santa Monica based Coda Automotive, rides his bike to and from work every day even though he has his all-electric Coda auto at his disposal at all times. A graduate of Yale, where he played football and was labeled the toughest kid to play at Yale during the 30 years his coach worked there. Coda US is a spin-off of Miles Electric Cars which imports all-electric cars from China. Czinger plans to introduce an all-electric car which will travel 100 miles on a single charge in early December.

Regional Art Museums

The Getty Museum Foundation in Brentwood has contributed exhibits to more than fifty museums including the Los Angeles County Getty MuseumMuseum of Art, the Hammer Museum, the Huntington Library, the Botanical Gardens, the Watts Tower Art Center and many more. The J. Paul Getty Museum tops the list of the largest private foundations with $8.1 billion in net assets. The Getty Villa and the Getty Museum combined attract over 1.8 million visiters per year. Since 1984, the Getty Foundation has given grants to support 6,000 projects in 180 countries. Admission to the Getty in Brentwood and the Getty Villa is free, parking however is $15. Most major museums throughout the country charge from $19. to $30. for admission.

Disney Chief Recalls Legendary Apple Boss Steve Jobs on Board of Directors

The man many compared to Alexander Graham Bell, the late Steve Jobs, the genius behind the latest Apple inventions like I-Phone, I-Pod and I-Pad; has been replaced on the Apple Board of Directors by Brentwood’s Robert Iger, Chief Executive of the Walt Disney Company. Iger was a friend and business partner of Jobs who died of cancer in October. Jobs sold Pixar Animation Studios in 2006 to Disney and became the company’s largest stockholder and a member of the Disney Board of Directors.

O.J. Murder Verdict Shocked His Neighbor, Actress
Rashida Jones

Actress, Rashida Jones, was a Brentwood neighbor of former USC football star, O.J. Simpson. Her parents, Quincy Jones and Peggy Lipton traveled in the same circles as O.J. until he went on trial for murdering his wife. The trial disillusioned Rashida who could not believe how he could be found innocent, based on the stacks of evidence against him.
