Actors, musicians, health food millionaires make Brentwood moves

The past week has seen two notable real estate transactions in Brentwood, with a pair of properties changing hands, including one celebrity selling another celebrity their mansion in an off-market transaction.
As reported by the Los Angeles Times, John Travolta and wife Kelly Preston have sold their Brentwood home in an off-market transaction to Scooter Braun for $18 million. Braun, a grammy-nominated record producer, also owns the house right next door to the property.
The 9,100 square foot Spanish-style mansion features 10 bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, a guardhouse, two garages and a screening room. The house was built in 1949 and showcases Saltillo tile floors, hand-painted tile work and two-story beamed ceilings.
The week also saw multi-millionaires Ron and Shannan Penna, founders of the Quest Nutrition – the health food company that sold for $1 billion last year – buy a new “farmhouse” near the Brentwood Country Club for $4.55 million.
The two-story, five-bedroom, six-bathroom house, built last year, checks in at 4,7000 square feet and is designed by Phil Rezvania and features a chef’s kitchen, wine fridge and screening room.
Stacy White of Compass and Brian Schames of Douglas Elliman listed the property and Laurie Woolner of Keller Williams Silicon Beach represented the Pennas.
