Champions Martial Arts & Fitness run by Keith Cooke Hirabayashi, will whip you into shape with both fitness and martial arts skills.

A six-time national champion and five-time world champion, Cooke’s classes have been a Brentwood staple for over 20 years. At Champion Martial Arts, it’s not just about the fitness skills you’ll learn. Cooke is also dedicated to empowering his clients, boosting self-esteem, and providing them with life skills.

There’s no shortage of classes to choose from either. Feel the need for a tune up? Sign up for the 10-week fitness boot camp that includes daily workouts, nutritional counseling, cardio testing and motivated support. Or take up kickboxing, guaranteed to burn fat and give you a high-energy, total body workout. There’s also the Core Up classes, an exercise system that uses resistance bands designed to help you both lose weight and tone and increase your muscle mass and body strength. It’s a combination class of aerobics, martial arts and resistance training.

 A classically trained ballerina, Simone de La Rue established Body By Simone to empower people of all shapes and sizes to recognize that regular exercise is an integral part of a healthy, happy, balanced life. Her exercise classes come from a solid foundation based on dance, but no, you don’t have to be a dancer to participate.

BBS offers a variety of classes including Dance Cardio, a high intensity 45 minute workout of non-stop dancing followed by a focus on arms and abs; Full Body, that includes interval training techniques that combine cardio and conditioning; and Hips, Thighs and Buns, focusing on those key areas that every woman wants to improve. BBS even offers a trampoline cardio class, among others.

Burn 60 is a studio that focuses on full body interval training. And while that might sound daunting, classes are tailored for people at any fitness level. With a focus on ensuring that you “Train Hard, Train Happy,” Burn 60 offers 45 or 60 minute full body workouts, guaranteed to strengthen all your muscle groups and burn significant calories.

The workouts will also increase your endurance and boost your metabolism with the uniquely designed classes that will have you transitioning between cardio and strength training routines every five to fifteen minutes.
