Spread Smiles to Kids. Join the Toy Drive Festivities and Capture Memories with Santa
By Dolores Quintana
As the holiday season unfolds, the West Los Angeles Police Department is revving up its annual Toy Drive, aiming to bring smiles to children aged 8-12. The collection is already underway and will continue until December 20th. Residents can contribute by dropping off new, unwrapped toys at the LAPD station’s front lobby located at 1663 Butler Avenue.
Simultaneously, Brentwood’s Barrington Rec Center seeks to create a significant impact with its ongoing toy drive, catering to younger children aged 1-10. The collection at the Rec Center office extends until December 15th, giving the community a chance to participate in spreading joy.
Donating to these endeavors ensures a brighter holiday season for the recipients and reflects the community’s unity and generosity. Both drop-off locations provide convenient opportunities for locals to contribute to these heartwarming initiatives.
For those eager to capture the spirit of the season, The Brentwood Country Mart is hosting “Photos with Santa!” Walk-ins are welcome to join the festive atmosphere and create lasting memories. The event is scheduled for Sunday, December 17, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Brentwood Country Mart, 225 26th Street. Santa’s Photo spot will be in the South Courtyard.
An RSVP is encouraged on Eventbrite to secure a spot for the Santa photoshoot, with spaces filling up quickly. Each reservation costs $10, contributing to the festive ambiance and supporting these community-driven initiatives.
