Whole Foods Market Brentwood is hosting a 5 percent Community Day on Wednesday, April 2, benefiting The Giving Spirit.
Five percent of the store’s net sales for the day will be donated to TGS. The organization, which is 100 percent volunteer run, will hand out 1700 summer survival backpacks to homeless women, children, and families at the end of May.
Each backpack contains more than 30 items that help homeless survive the heat of an Los Angeles summer at a cost of $35 for each backpack.
The community is encouraged to shop at Whole Foods Market Brentwood on April 2 and help The Giving Spirit fundraise for this important effort.
