Local Officials and Fire Experts Will Offer Live Demonstrations, Expert Advice
Residents are invited to a comprehensive fire safety event on Saturday, June 14, where experts will provide actionable guidance on how to safeguard homes from the growing threat of wildfires.
The event, titled “Harden Your Home,” will run from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Saint Martin of Tours Church, located at 11967 Sunset Boulevard. Sponsored by FireSafe Brentwood and the Brentwood Homeowners Association, the event aims to equip homeowners with the knowledge and tools needed to protect their properties and families.
Featured speakers and participants include Los Angeles City Councilwoman Traci Park, along with representatives from LAPD, LAFD, and a variety of home defense and fire protection vendors such as Brush Clearance, Wetline, Wildfire Defense, Vulcan Vents, Frontline Roof Sprinklers, BrandGuard Vents, and Moonlight Security.
Attendees will receive expert presentations on proven techniques for wildfire preparedness, home hardening, and residential crime prevention. A variety of product demonstrations and installation consultations will be available, helping participants craft personalized safety plans tailored to their properties.
Families are encouraged to attend, with coffee, donuts, and a chance to meet local firefighters and police officers. Children are welcome at the community-focused event, designed to promote neighborhood resilience through education and collaboration.
