Helping Veterans, Getty Photo Workshop, Dance for Peace: Brentwood Weekend Calendar September 21-22

Brentwood events and the happenings for the weekend

Saturday, September 21, 2 p.m. – “Dance for Peace” at the Kaufman Brentwood Branch Library, 11820 San Vicente Boulevard. In celebration of the annual United Nations Day of Peace, dances from Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Japan, Mexico and Spain will be featured along with other presentations.  Free. Saturday, September 21, 1 p.m. VA outreach with Calvary Chapel Echo Park. If you would like to pray over and serve our military veterans at the VA Hospital please join Calvary Chapel Echo Park every 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month at 1:00 pm at the VA Hospital in West Los Angeles. Sunday, September 22, 11 a.m. – Fun in the Sun: Photography Workshop at the Getty Museum. Harness the power of the sun to make one-of-a-kind photographic prints—called cyanotypes—by arranging flowers, leaves, letters, stencils and more on light-sensitive fabric. Each sun-soaked print makes a unique and surprising keepsake. Complements the In Focus: The Camera exhibition. This is a free, drop-in program. For more information click HERE.
