Jim Carrey’s sprawling Brentwood estate, a luxurious retreat the comedic actor called home for three decades, has entered into contract with a buyer, marking a significant step toward a sale after multiple price reductions, according to The Real Deal.
The 11,000-square-foot property, originally listed for $28.9 million in February 2023, went into contract last week with an asking price of $18.8 million, as reported by the outlet. This is the second time the estate has found a potential buyer, following a failed deal in December 2024 when it was listed at $19.8 million.
Carrey purchased the five-bedroom, nine-bathroom ranch-style home in 1994 for $3.8 million. Nestled on a 2-acre lot, the estate boasts a tennis court, waterfall pool, and an Art Deco-style theater, offering a blend of Hollywood glamour and serene privacy.
The estate topped Los Angeles County’s luxury home contracts last week, with 18 properties totaling $134.8 million in asking price, according to Real Deal.
