Kendrick Lamar Buys $15.9 Million Bel Air Estate with Seven Bedrooms and Eight Baths

Rapper buys seven bedroom property in East Gate neighborhood

By Dolores Quintana

Pulitzer Prize-winning composer and world-famous rapper Kendrick Lamar have purchased a new home in Manhattan Beach as reported by The Dirt.com. Lamar has been living in Manhattan Beach for some time but has now purchased a new home in Bel Air, near the East Gate of the exclusive gated community.

According to The Dirt.com and city records, Lamar bought the mansion for $15.9 million, just slightly under the listed price on the property. The home was built by renowned Los Angeles-based architect Edward Fickett in the 1950s. Of course, the home has been renovated and enlarged in the ensuing years. The home has a guesthouse with two stories which means the entire property comes with seven bedrooms and eight bathrooms in a total of 8,000 square feet of space. The property is screened from prying eyes by walls and is gated. The property has a two-car garage and outdoor parking for another eight vehicles.

Not many photos of the interior of the home are available, but according to a past rental listing, the home has a covered terrace, hardwood floors and a fireplace made of brick. The estate also has a family room with atrium-like qualities connected to a renovated kitchen with an eat-in island, a butler’s pantry and a breakfast area. The kitchen is outfitted with the latest stainless steel appliances.

The master bedroom comes with a huge bath with dual vanities, a clawfoot soaking tub and dual vanity mirrors. That’s not all though, further features of the home include a movie theatre, gym, wine cellar and a combination office and library. Outside, you can find a spa and pool with a sundeck, an al fresco dining space and a koi pond for relaxation.

The guesthouse has its own kitchen, bathroom, laundry area, living and dining room space and two bedrooms and another bath on the second floor.
