Kylie Sakaida Brings Balanced Eating Tips to Diesel: A Bookstore Event April 9

Author of So Easy So Good to Appear With Fitness Coach Sohee Carpenter

Registered dietitian and social media nutrition sensation Kylie Sakaida will appear at DIESEL, A Bookstore in Brentwood, on Wednesday, April 9, for a discussion and signing of her debut cookbook, So Easy So Good: Delicious Recipes and Expert Tips for Balanced Eating.

The event begins at 6:30 p.m. in the store’s outdoor courtyard at 225 26th St, Suite 33, and is free to attend. Seating is limited, and attendees are encouraged to reserve a seat by purchasing a copy of the book through the store.

Sakaida, known to millions of followers on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube as @NutritionbyKylie, will be joined in conversation by fitness coach and author Sohee Carpenter. The evening will feature insights from Sakaida’s book, which blends evidence-based nutrition guidance with approachable, flavorful recipes influenced by her Hawaiian upbringing and Asian-inspired cooking.

So Easy So Good aims to simplify healthy eating with realistic, accessible tips for building balanced meals. The cookbook features recipes such as Matcha Chia Parfaits, Chicken Ranch Naan Pizzas, Thai Fish Curry, and Tahini Chocolate Brownies and includes charts and guides to help readers navigate the often-confusing world of nutrition.

Sakaida, who holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nutrition science from Boston University, lives in Los Angeles and has made it her mission to demystify nutrition for a wide audience. Her social content mixes nutritional science, meal inspiration, and personal storytelling.

Joining her at the event is Sohee Carpenter, who brings expertise in fitness and strength coaching, over a decade of experience, and a strong background in science-based fitness education. She is the author of Eat.Lift.Thrive. and currently serves as Fitness Advisor for Women’s Health magazine while pursuing a PhD in sports science.

Free seating is limited. To reserve a seat, please purchase one copy of a book for one seat on Diesel: A Bookstore’s website here.
