Iconic Marathon Will Shut Down San Vicente Boulevard For Hours
The Los Angeles Marathon, one of the nation’s largest and most watched races, will take place on Sunday, March 16, and will once again be incorporating San Vicente Boulevard in Brentwood as part of its course.
Inspired by the 1984 Olympics, the LA Marathon has grown significantly since its debut in 1986, now ranking as the fourth-largest marathon in the United States. The annual event attracts thousands of runners and spectators, fostering a strong sense of community and athletic spirit.
On race day, San Vicente Boulevard will be closed from Wilshire Boulevard to Saltair Avenue to accommodate the course. Road closures will begin at 5:00 a.m. and reopen by 5:00 p.m.
