Los Angeles Lakers Star and His Family Were No Exception of Mandatory Order
Los Angeles Lakers star and four-time NBA champion LeBron James confirmed his family evacuated their Brentwood home and has been staying in a hotel since last Thursday evening due to nearby wildfires. Since the evacuation orders for the area have been rescinded, the James family has likely returned home.
James said he has felt unsettled by the situation but remains focused on staying strong for his loved ones. “Personally, I’ve been off,” James said. “My family, we’ve been evacuated since Thursday night. So, I’ve been in a hotel since pretty much when we got back from Dallas. Just figuring it out. But staying strong for one another. Obviously, that’s most important.”
The basketball star expressed concern for those affected by the fires, including friends who have lost their homes. “There’s been a lot of emotions,” he said. “I have a couple of dear friends that have lost their homes in the Palisades.”, as quoted by Marca.
In 2019, the family left their home in Brentwood after brush fires broke out near the Getty Center, so this isn’t the first time the James’ have had to evacuate.
