Local Family Fulfills American Dreams by Bringing Bakery to Brentwood

Paris Baguette to open on Wilshire Boulevard this summer

By Dolores Quintana

Brentwood will have another bakery option soon. Mandeep Singh and his family will realize their dreams of opening a Paris Baguette this summer at 3785 Wilshire Boulevard, Suite #107E. In addition to its bakery items, Paris Baguette also serves cakes, gourmet sandwiches and salads. So it’s not all carbs at Paris Bakery, but you can find the usual pastry items that you have come to expect from Paris Baguette like croissants, croquettes, donuts, choux pastry, tarts and feuilettes.

The Singh family has been dreaming of how to make their mark on the community since they immigrated from India over a decade ago. One of the things that the Singh family feels that they can bring to Brentwood, aside from excellent service and a great atmosphere, is adding a source of fresh and delicious cakes to the Brentwood area. The Paris Baguette Cakes are made by the company’s master bakers and include such creations as mixed berry soft cream cake, chocoholic chiffon, souffle cheesecake and cappuccino cake. For those who aren’t ready to go in on a whole cake, or who just want a slice, Paris Baguette sells cake slices as well.

Mandeep Singh said, via a press release, “During the covid year we realized how important it is to be part of a network that will keep you moving physically and emotionally. While the majority of the workforce was working from home and belonged to the service industry our extended families and friends who have small businesses were able to stay physically active and be a part of the solution for many, helping them financially and giving support. We wanted to venture into a business that can bridge the gap of what’s missing in our city. After countless trips to Bay Area cities, looking for ideas, reaching out to local businesses and listening to so many families, we realized there isn’t a good local bakery cafe in our city. Brentwood is a place where we saw a big opportunity for growth for a brand like Paris Baguette.

We have 4 kids between both of our families. Now at this stage of our lives, we want to build something for our kids to pass on the legacy and love that we share.”

He added, “Our kids’ favorite bakery is Paris Baguette, so the choice was natural to bring the same warmth and love to Brentwood. This community has given us a lot and our kids love Brentwood. We see ourselves being an integral part of this town until we retire. We think because we are a family business, the people in this community will appreciate that.”
