Lemonade will open in the space once occupied by Clay Pit: Contemporary Indian Cuisine, just south of Sunset.
Lemonade already has five locations around the Los Angeles area: on Beverly in West Hollywood, on Abbot Kinney in Venice, on Flower Street in Downtown, at the Museum of Contemporary Art and at USC.
The restaurant brings a new twist to a childhood concept. Not only can people enjoy a fancier version of what kids used to offer on the street in paper cups for 25 cents, but Lemonade incorporates the elementary school cafeteria feel.
Come lunch time, customers use a tray to slide down the counter and choose from many options and at the end of the line they can pick from one of the restaurant’s custom lemonade recipes.
This will be a new dining option for locals in Brentwood, a more casual attempt at lunch. Menu options will range from mac n’ cheese or chicken chili to salads with Asian pear, arugula, blue cheese and balsamic vinegar dressing to red velvet cupcakes and chocolate chip cookies.
