The New West Symphony is pleased to announce the appointment of Alexander Rivkin M.D. to its Board of Directors for the Los Angeles region.
Alexander Rivkin is a Yale-trained facial cosmetic surgeon and clinical faculty member of the Division of Dermatology at the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine. Dr. Rivkin made his name by developing non-surgical alternatives to commonly performed invasive cosmetic procedures. His 10-year practice, Westside Aesthetics, is located in West Los Angeles and focuses on non-invasive, non-ablative cosmetic treatments.
Dr. Rivkin is nationally known for inventing and popularizing the Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty procedure. As an international authority on non-surgical cosmetic treatments, he divides his time between patient care, clinical research, educating other physicians, media appearances and lecturing at scientific conferences around the world.
With community involvement an important priority for Dr. Rivkin, he serves on the boards of several charities. He says of his appointment to the New West Symphony board, “As an avid fan of classical music, I am very much looking forward to furthering awareness of the Symphony in our region and to helping as many Los Angelenos as possible to discover the wonderful sound of this superb professional orchestra.â€
