New Year, New Readers: Library Celebrates Influx of Fresh Faces and Exciting Programs

Welcoming Winter Break Visitors and Growing Storytime Stars at Your Local Library

Maddy Gilette, the children’s librarian, and the other librarians of the Donald Kaufman Brentwood branch of the Los Angeles Library are thrilled to welcome new faces to the library. She states that includes those they met during the school closure for winter break to little ones now old enough for storytime. They feel fortunate start to the new year with so many new library users.

The week resumes with our regular programming:

  • Tuesday, January 16th, 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.: STAR Reader Alicia
  • Wednesday, January 17th, 10:30 am AND 11:30 am: Toddler/Preschool Storytime*
  • Wednesday, January 17th, 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.: STAR Reader Bonnie
  • Thursday, January 18th, 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.: Brick Building Playtime
  • Thursday, January 18th, 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.: STAR Reader Camille
  • Saturday, January 20th, 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.: STAR Reader Farnaz

*A reminder that storytime sessions are limited to 25 kids per session to adhere to fire codes and ensure the best experience for our little ones. The 10:30 storytime usually fills up, but spots are often available for the 11:30 session. Remember to grab your ticket from the Circulation Desk when you come in!
