Monday morning incident remains under investigation

Police are investigating an attack outside a Brentwood hotel which left a victim wounded early Monday morning.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD0, the incident was reported outside the Hotel Angeleno on Church Lane, near Sunset Boulevard, at 3:50 a.m.
Captain Jon Tom of the West LAPD told the Brentwood Community Council that a guest of the hotel from out of state may have been targeted for a robbery.
“Multiple shots were fired, but the victim was not shot. He may have fallen and hit his head while running away from the incident and is receiving medical care,” the Brentwood Community Council said.
The LAPD Robbery/Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation.
“Due to increased crime issues at both hotels located at the Sunset/Church Street intersection, BCC Safety and LAPD Senior Lead Officer Matt Kirk will be meeting with hotel management to discuss security measures” the Brentwood Community Council added.
