Person Chases Brentwood Whole Foods Employee With Tennis Racket After Refusing to Leave

Brentwood crime update

Among recent Brentwood crimes include a person who recently chased a Brentwood Whole Foods employee with a tennis racket after refusing to leave the grocery store.

Burglary

06-14-21 1400 hrs– 1430 hrs, 300 Block of Anita Ave, Suspect(s) entered the residence by removing the screen and entering the location. The resident was upstairs and unaware that the suspect was inside the house. The suspect fled the location without taking any property.

06-14-21 1330 hrs- 1430 hrs, 300 Block of Anita Ave, Suspect (s) entered the residence through the unlocked rear door. Suspect(s) ransacked the downstairs room and fled. No property taken.

06-14-21 2347 hrs, 12200 Block of Gorham Ave, Suspect entered an open garage and then open door into the residence. Once the alarm sounded the suspect fled the location. No property taken.

Assault With Deadly Weapon

06-09-21 2135 hrs, 11737 San Vicente (Whole Foods Market), Suspect entered the market during closing time and refused to leave. Store employee was able to have the suspect leave the store at which time the suspect became angry and chased the store employee with a tennis racket across San Vicente. The suspect never hit the victim with the tennis racket and police arrived and arrested the susp near the store.

Burglary From Motor Vehicle/ Theft From Motor Vehicle

06-10-21 1700 hrs/ 06-11-21 1800 hrs, 11700 Block of Dorothy St., Suspect(s) entered an unlocked vehicle and removed property. The vehicle was parked on the driveway and the property taken was CDs and a phone charger.

Grand Theft Auto

06-08-21 2335 hrs/ 06-09-21 0600 hrs, 900 Block of Bundy Dr. A 1997 Honda Civic was taken from the street.

06-09-21 1450 hrs/ 06-09-21 1500 hrs, 12200 Block of Tweed Ln, 2003 Chevy truck was taken from the driveway.

Theft 

06-11-21 1600 hrs / 06-14-21 1100 hrs, 1100 Block of Wellesley, Suspect(s) entered parking garage by unknown means and opened UNLOCKED storage closet. Susp(s) removed the bike and fled the location.

06-12-21 1000 hrs/ 06-13-21 1545 hrs, 1100 Block of Granville Ave, Suspect(s) pried open carport storage locker and removed property. Property taken was clothing and miscellaneous items.
