Skincare Tycoons Make Luxe Real Estate Move
Katie and Amnon Rodan, the entrepreneurial minds behind skincare brand Proactiv, have recently acquired a luxurious mansion in Brentwood Park for a hefty $25.3 million, as reported by The Real Deal.
The pair bought the home at 427 North Carmelina Avenue, a property developed by spec home developer Gil Charash at AMG Capital. The deal was facilitated by Conrad Adamczak at Beverly Hills Estates, representing the seller, according to an Instagram post from the brokerage.
The limited liability company buyer, named 427 N Catalina Ave, is linked to the Rodan Family Foundation, according to state records.
Gil Charash initially purchased the property in 2022 for $8 million and secured a $14.1 million loan from the Bank of Southern California. The 11,000-square-foot mansion, constructed in 2011, rests on half an acre, located less than a mile from the intersection of Carmelina Avenue and Sunset Boulevard.
AMG, helmed by Charash, Adam Zane, and Mark Small, specializes in crafting custom homes and showcases around 25 projects on its website. The sale of this Brentwood mansion is one of the biggest sales in the area, with the last home in the area surpassing $25 million in September when Judd Apatow and Leslie Mann sold their residence for $27 million.
The deal is subject to a 5.5 percent transfer tax, amounting to $1.39 million, in accordance with Measure ULA enacted last year.
