The South Brentwood Residents Association held its 42nd Annual Meeting on April 26 at the Tenth Church of Christ, Scientist.
The program emphasized what is being done to make the community a better place to live, work and play.
A panel, moderated by Brentwood News Founding Publisher Jeff Hall, included CA State Senator Ben Allen, CD11 Councilmember Mike Bonin, Affordable housing developer Thomas Safran of Thomas Safran & Associates Safe Parking LA Founder Dr. Scott Sale.
A Welcome Reception from 6-7 p.m. included Senior Lead Officer Maria Gray, LAPD Captain Valencia Thomas, representatives of government agencies, SBRA Neighborhood Watch, and SBRA sponsors. Gently used clothing for formerly homeless people reentering the workforce was also collected during this time.
Applications for the SBRA Advisory Board members will be accepted through May 2018. Interviews will be held in June.
