After a ten-year hiatus, the Brentwood Fun Run returned this year, after much hard work and planning by Nancy Freeman and the Brentwood Community Council.
On Sunday, June 9, thousands of runners took part in either a 10K, a 5K run and walk, or a kid’s 1K fun run on San Vicente Boulevard.

And it wasn’t all running. Following the race, a block party and dog parade awaited contestants and the Brentwood community. Festivities included a safety expo with ham radio operators, CERT instruction, a Beatles medley and sing-a-long performed by the 40 members of the children’s WLA Choir, and a picnic on the median.
