The organization meeting will begin at 7 PM, and anyone interested in participating is welcome to attend.
Charged with providing a helping hand to youth, Optimist Clubs conduct community service projects through more than 3,200 autonomous Clubs. There are over 101,000 individual volunteer members who conduct 65,000 service projects each year that serve the needs of over six million young people.
Successful ongoing programs include a Childhood Cancer Eradication Campaign; Optimist Youth Homes for At-Risk Youth; International Junior Golf Championships; Youth Appreciation Awards; Programs for Deaf & Hearing-Impaired Youth among many others.
Optimist Club Members are known in their communities for their upbeat and positive attitudes. Also Club Members are volunteers who work together to make their local community a better place in which to live.
Recent attention has been focused upon issues of declining childhood wellness and the depravity of ‘school bullying’. Optimist Members are continually working for increased participation in community projects aimed at creating a brighter future for our youth.
