South Brentwood Annual Meeting

Zev Yaroslavsky, Mike Feuer, Senior Lead Officer Phil Enbody and the firefighters who put out the big fire at Gorham and Wellesley last November were guests of honor at this year’s South Brentwood Residents Association Annual Meeting.
Battalion Chief Jim Gaffney, who was stationed at Fire Station 19 on Sunset for many years, said Brentwood was “the cream of the crop†and that he and his team really appreciated the support they got from the Brentwood community over the years.
One of the victims of the fire, Michelle Goldstein, said, “Keep your closets clean because you never know when you’ll need to clean them out very quickly.â€
Phil Enbody announced he was retiring in November. Assemblyman Mike Feuer, who is being “termed out†of office, said he’d be running for the position of LA City Attorney. Zev Yaroslavsky was invited by Marylin Krell, SBRA’s President, to announce whether he was running for mayor or not. Zev didn’t take the bait.
