Musical legend sings at Baltaire Easter Sunday

Customers at Baltaire were surprised with a special and impromptu treat this weekend. Music legend Stevie Wonder stepped up to the mike and sang his classic song “You Are The Sunshine Of My Life” to the amazement of everyone in the room.
Baltaire’s Wine Director David Taylor took the video that the official Baltaire account posted on Sunday.
It wasn’t the first time that Wonder has performed spontaneously at a local restaurant. Back in 2019, Wonder performed a 35-minute set at Skylight Gardens in Westwood.
According to Wine Director David Taylor, here’s how the impromptu set happened.
“Every Thursday and Friday, Baltaire has weekly live music in the lounge. During Friday’s live music set, Stevie Wonder came into the restaurant with a group to celebrate his brother’s birthday over a few drinks in the lounge and decided to come up and sing on stage for his brother. He gave a quick birthday shout-out and began singing which caused nearly the entire restaurant to get out of their seats and come watch in the bar & lounge area. Afterward, he went back to his seat in the lounge to continue celebrating with his group and then left shortly after. “
