The City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks is pleased to announce the commencement of registration for the Fall Flag Football 2023 season at Barrington Recreation Center. This exciting program offers children and youth a fun and competitive opportunity to engage in popular sports.

Located at 3335 Barrington Avenue in Los Angeles, Barrington Recreation Center is now accepting registrations for the upcoming league. Interested participants can register online at https://aparks.org. Registration officially opened on Saturday, July 15th, 2023.

The Fall Flag Football League is scheduled to kick off on Saturday, September 30th, 2023. The league welcomes participants from various age groups, including Co-Rec Divisions, Rookle, Bantam, Minors, and AG. Each division corresponds to specific birth years, ensuring fair competition and age-appropriate activities.

The registration fee of $180 covers various amenities, including a uniform, awards, officials’ fees, and administrative costs. This all-inclusive fee ensures a comprehensive experience for all participants.

Furthermore, the Fall Flag Football program is currently seeking dedicated coaches to join the team. Coaches play a vital role in providing guidance and mentorship to young athletes, creating a positive and supportive environment for their development. Interested individuals are encouraged to contact the Barrington Recreation Center at (310) 475-4866 or via email at barrington.recreationcenter@lacity.org.

To ensure balanced teams and fair play, some divisions require player evaluations. The Rookie, Bantam, and Minors divisions will hold evaluations on Wednesday, September 6th, 2023. Participants born between 2016 and 2017 are invited to the evaluation session at 4:00 pm, while those born between 2014 and 2015 should attend at 5:00 pm. Please note that the Co-Rec Divisions for participants born in 2012-2013 and 2010-2011 do not require evaluations.
