Los Angeles firefighters extinguished a fire that broke out inside a trash truck driving in the Brentwood-area.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD), the fire was reported at 2:44 p.m. Wednesday. Crews arrived to find a trash truck with its load on fire on Federal Avenue just south of Wilshire Boulevard.
One fire company extinguished the fire by dumping the truck’s contents, including the burning material, onto the street.
According to the LAFD, crews stayed on the scene for a few hours to make sure debris from the fire did not enter surrounding storm drains.
