Unleash the Fun: Your Ultimate Guide to Family Adventures at the Kaufman Library This Fall

From Storytime to BioBlitz: Get Ready for an Epic Autumn of Learning and Discovery

The Donald Bruce Kaufman – Brentwood Branch Library is thrilled to present a diverse lineup of engaging events for the community in September and October. Mark your calendars for these exciting opportunities:

  • Toddler/Preschool Storytime: Join us on Wednesday, September 27th, at 10:30 a.m. for a delightful Toddler/Preschool Storytime. (Please note that there will be no storytime sessions on 10/4 or 10/11.)
  • STAR Reader Bonnie: On the same day, Wednesday, September 27th, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., STAR Reader Bonnie will be here to captivate young readers with her storytelling skills.
  • Brick Building Playtime: Don’t miss out on Brick Building Playtime on Thursday, September 28th, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Unleash your creativity and build your masterpieces!
  • STAR Reader Camille: Join us on Friday, September 29th, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. for a special reading session with STAR Reader Camille.

In addition to these fantastic events, we are overwhelmed by the enthusiastic response to our upcoming October BioBlitz event sign-ups. Many of our events are nearly full, but we have opened a waitlist for those that reach full capacity. Here are the details:

  • BioBlitz Kickoff with Peter Falcon: Experience the BioBlitz Kickoff with Peter Falcon on Saturday, October 7th, at 11:00 a.m. This event is open to ages 5-13, with only 9 spots remaining.
  • Discovery Cube: Owls Are a Hoot!: Join us on Tuesday, October 24th, at 4:00 p.m. for Discovery Cube: Owls Are a Hoot! This event is open to ages 5-13, with 16 spots still available.
  • Lifestyles of the Slimy and Squishy: Explore the fascinating world of Lifestyles of the Slimy and Squishy on Monday, October 30th, at 4:00 p.m. This event is open to ages 3-13, with only 3 spots left.
