Weekly Events At the Donald Bruce Kaufman – Brentwood Branch Library

Come and Explore A Variety of Events and A Musical Performance

Maddy Gillette, Children’s Librarian at the Donald Bruce Kaufman – Brentwood Branch Library, announced via the weekly email newsletter that the library has an exciting lineup of events scheduled for the upcoming week, catering to various age groups and interests. Remember that the library is continuing its Summer Reading Challenge; there is still time to come in and claim your sign-up prizes! For more information, see our website at lapl.org/summer.

Mark your calendars for these engaging activities:

  1. Toddler/Preschool Storytime – Wednesday, June 21st at 10:30 am. Join us for a delightful storytime session specially designed for toddlers and preschoolers. Immerse your little ones in the enchanting world of books and storytelling, fostering their love for reading and imagination.
  2. Brick Building Playtime – Thursday, June 22nd, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.: Let your creativity soar during our Brick Building Playtime event. Kids of all ages are invited to unleash their architectural prowess and construct amazing structures using colorful bricks. This interactive and hands-on experience promises hours of fun and imaginative play.
  3. STAR Reader Camille – Thursday, June 22nd, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.: Meet Camille, our STAR Reader, who will captivate young minds with captivating tales and engaging storytelling techniques. Join us for an immersive reading session that will transport children to exciting worlds and spark their curiosity for literature.
  4. Silk Road: Music of China and India – Saturday, June 24th at 2:00 p.m.: Immerse yourself in a mesmerizing musical journey as we present “Silk Road: Music of China and India.” This all-ages music performance promises to be a feast for the senses, featuring enchanting melodies and rhythms from these rich cultural traditions. Don’t miss this captivating event taking place in our community room.

Please note that our Wednesday STAR Reader, Bonnie, will not be here this week. We’ll see her again next week! These events offer wonderful opportunities for community members of all ages to come together, explore, and enjoy diverse experiences.
