Victim Recounts Harrowing Early Morning Encounter in Rainbow District
A West Hollywood resident and his friends were heading home in the early morning hours after attending WeHo Pride celebrations on Monday, June 10, when three men attempted to rob them with a gun, as reported by NBC 4 Los Angeles.
The robbery victim, Daniel Berilla, told his story to NBC 4, stating his belief that the men meant to rob him and his friends. His bag was ripped from his body by one of the robbers, and he had an abrasion on his arm from where the bag was attached to his body.
Berilla and his friends were ambushed near the intersection of Cynthia and Larabee in front of the Petit Ermitage Hotel. The robbery took place only a block away from the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station.
