Traffic Will Be Slowed to Serve The Community’s Well-being

City Council member Traci Park announced via her Instagram page on September 20 that a new stoplight would be debuting in the heart of Brentwood. On Thursday, September 21, the Department of Transportation activated this essential addition to the Brentwood neighborhood’s traffic infrastructure.
Park’s post said, “The newly installed traffic light, positioned at the intersection of South Barrington Ave and Chenault St., serves as a paramount enhancement to the community’s traffic safety measures.
This strategically placed traffic signal aims to mitigate potential hazards by regulating the flow of vehicles in an area that hosts numerous apartment and condominium buildings, the bustling San Vicente Blvd commercial district, and the popular Barrington Recreation Center.”
The implementation of this traffic light underscores the Department of Transportation’s and the City Council member’s commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of local residents and commuters navigating this busy junction.
